QUALITY AND COMPETITIVENESS ARE ESSENTIAL IN SEED PRODUCTION

Preparations have begun for the Uzbekistan Seed Industry Fair, which will be held in the Tashkent region on 11–13 May 2026 with the support of the Uzbekistan Seed Development Center. The fair, planned to bring together key stakeholders of the agricultural sector, aims to contribute to the development of the seed industry in the region.

Within the scope of the fair organization, participation is expected from domestic and international seed producers, agricultural technology companies, research institutes, and investors. Throughout the event, modern seed technologies, sustainable agricultural practices, new variety development efforts, and innovative solutions that enhance production efficiency will be showcased. In addition, seminars, technical presentations, and cooperation meetings featuring expert speakers will be included in the program.

The Director of the Uzbekistan Seed Development Center, Shuhrat Otajonov, stated that the fair will serve as an important platform for increasing quality and competitiveness in the country’s agriculture, and invited sector representatives and investors to attend the event. Otajonov emphasized that strengthening regional cooperation and promoting modern seed production standards are among the main objectives of the fair.

The fair, to be held in the Tashkent region, is expected to increase knowledge sharing in the field of seed production in line with Uzbekistan’s agricultural policies and to create new commercial opportunities. The organization is anticipated to open new market opportunities for both local producers and international companies.
