Uzbekistan and Seed Fair

Resim1 resim2 resim3

Uzbekistan, with a surface area of 447,400 km² and a population of 36 million, is located at the center of Central Asia. Together with its neighboring countries, it represents a geography with a population of approximately 3.5–4 billion.

Uzbekistan has 2,000,000 hectares of arable crop production areas, 223,000 hectares dedicated to fruit growing and viticulture, 4,000 hectares of greenhouse vegetable production, and 348,000 hectares of open-field vegetable production. Cotton and wheat are strategic crops in Uzbekistan. However, in recent years, there has been a rapid increase in the cultivation areas of fruit, vegetables, maize, sunflower, and soybean. Approximately 30% of the population in Uzbekistan is engaged in agriculture.

Considering the size of the Uzbek and Asian markets, seeds, as the main input of agricultural production, have gained critical importance. Uzbekistan meets a significant portion of its demand through imports, particularly for fruit and vegetable seeds, maize, sunflower, soybean, forage crop seeds, and ornamental plant materials.

Within this framework, the event will be held in Tashkent, the central hub of Central Asia, between 11–13 May 2026.

The fair will be organized with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Tashkent Seed Development Center, Halkbank, UzAgroStar Holding, Agricultural University, and Ufarmer Academy as the Seminar Sponsor.

We believe that your participation in this fair will contribute significantly to the development of your trade and business cooperation.

Sincerely,
